**RCI Silver Crown Rated** Featuring finely appointed accommodations in studio, one and two bedroom suites. Annual usage is based on the point system. Purchase includes 81 points. Maintenance fees are $390 for studios, $590 for 1 bedrooms, and $790 for 2 bedrooms and are due when you book your reservation. Book up to 11 months in advance. Reservations must be made 90 days prior to vacation time.

The unit may be rented beginning at just $145 per night for the studio, 1 bedroom $175 per night and 2 bedroom $205 per night. Rental rate is per week booking. We will request your rental reservation after receipt of a $100 (per week) booking deposit which will be credited towards your rental fee. Deposit becomes nonrefundable if dates requested are available and balance of funds are not received within 90 days of reservation confirmation. PayPal or wire transfer are accepted for payments. You will receive a copy of the reservation confirmation email before we ask you for final payment. ****Rental amounts quoted are for Gold Season. Platinum Season reservations may be slightly increased, depending on number of points debited by Melia. All will be confirmed prior to payment request.

We have only been to this location once which was in 2000. That's when we bought 100 points on a whim for $12,500. We will sell the 81 remaining points for $6250 and we'll pay the transfer fees! We do not use it as we have since built a home in Baja. You can use your points anytime and the unit availability is based on how far in advance you call to make a reservation.

Via email from Melia's members reservations department (Resorts Advantage): "the points all depend on the time frame in which the reservation is made in and the type of unit that is being confirmed.

For Example:
*If you make a reservation in July 18,2009 using a Two Bedroom unit the points taken would be 6 points because the Two Bedroom is booked during Gold season.

*If you would book a Studio on December 26,2009 the points taken would be 3 points because the Studio is booked in Platinum season.

The amount of points taken depend on the unit and the season. What I can assure you is that it will not take away more than 9 points."

Some kind of idea for points usage during Gold Season: studio=2 points, 1 bdrm=4 points, 2 bdrm=6 points. So...if you booked a studio for a week once every year using 2 points, this opportunity could give you a week every year for 40 years for $156.25 a week or around $22 per day!
